Benny Sings – Real Person (feat. Elijah Fox)

Amsterdam-based Benny Sings returns with “Real Person”, a collaboration with LA multi-instrumentalist and producer Elijah Fox, out February 19 on Stones Throw Records. We previously covered “Castle” in November 2025 and “Simple Life” feat. Leven Kali in August 2025 — both pointing toward a new album due in 2026.

“Real Person” came out of a spontaneous studio session between the two. Benny describes it as “a leap into the deep” — a track about the duality of love, how it can be both exhilarating and devastating. The final version was kept as clean as possible to preserve the energy of how it was recorded. Fox, who has worked with SZA, Drake, Childish Gambino, and Kali Uchis, brings a jazz-rooted approach to the production that sits naturally alongside Benny’s characteristically unhurried vocals. The result is warm, conversational, and precise without being fussy.

Over more than twenty years, Benny Sings has built a catalogue that includes collaborations with Kenny Beats, Remi Wolf, Mac DeMarco, Tom Misch, and Rex Orange County. “Real Person” is the latest chapter in what’s shaping up to be a busy run into the new album.
